Added new macro XT_C_TYPE_CHARACTERISTICS that checks the size and
alignment of some types. This is required for the new ATerm library
with 64 bit fixes.
XT_SETUP invokes the XT_C_TYPE_CHARACTERISTICS macro, so all packages
will automatically support the new aterm release.
